Continuing Education“Basics of Intraoperative Monitoring”This course, co-sponsored by Cadwell Laboratories, has been ongoing for several years. Upon completion of this course, the American Society of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (ASET) grants 14 hours of continuing education credits. Upon completion of this course, ASHA grants 1.4 CEU's. “Advanced Intraoperative Monitoring”This course will follow “Basics of Intraoperative Monitoring” and will be held in San Diego, California. In order to attend this course, the attendee must be experienced in intraoperative monitoring (preferably CNIM) or have attended the “Basics of Intraoperative Monitoring” course above. “Intraoperative Monitoring for Audiologists”This course is an introductory course in intraoperative monitoring for audiologists and includes training in somatosensory evoked potentials, motor evoked potentials, auditory brainstem response, electromyography for cranial nerve monitoring, anesthesia concerns, and surgical procedures. ‘Hands on’ practicums will be held for each monitoring modality. It is anticipated that the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) will certify the course for continuing education credits.
